Circular Systems
Hydroponics & Aquaponics
Aquaponics and hydroponics are methods of growing plants without soil, using nutrient-rich water instead. In an aquaponics system, plants are grown in a grow bed that is supplied with water from a fish tank. The fish produce waste, which is high in nutrients and is used to fertilize the plants. The plants absorb the nutrients from the water, which helps to purify the water. The purified water is then returned to the fish tank.
Biogas
Biogas is a type of renewable energy that is produced through the process of anaerobic digestion, which is the bacterial breakdown of organic matter in the absence of oxygen. Biogas is composed primarily of methane and carbon dioxide and can be used as a fuel for cooking, heating, electricity generation, and transportation.
